Progress Report > Package III - Electrical Works
The Contractor continued with electrical works installations in North and South Toll Plaza buildings. This is the only site work under this contract at this time. The majority of work at site is the preparation and submittal of shop drawings for toll plazas and the Vehicle Maintenance Building. Coordination is ongoing between PKIII and PKIV for space, ventilation and cableway requirements at substations in the Electrostatic Precipitator areas (S/S 1, 2 and 4) and at the Ventilation Adit Building (S/S 6), S/S 3 at adit fresh air discharge near tunnel, and S/S 5 near north portal. This includes preparation of drawings. Coordination is also being carried out at design stage for cable routes across Lang Co to be installed by PKIIA. The Contractor continued to submit manufacturer's capability/certification materials and technical data for approval as suppliers of major systems and subsystems. The Contractor is in the process of increasing site based design support staff and the main design engineer for power distribution and control systems is scheduled to visit site next month (August) for design development discussions within the Contractor's staff and with the Engineer.
