Approach Road

Embankment, granular backfill behind abutments. Completed the mortar riprap for embankment & sub-grade layers.

Lang Co Bridge (867m)

Substructure: completed 100%.
Superstructure: Launching and concrete of diaphragm of span 26 to span 05 (21 spans) completed.

Construction Supervision

Summary from Contractor

Project Schedule passed 29 months and 01 months remained from the reporting month. Completion percentage was 91% based on the activities completion (including 74.5% per total 80.6% of bridge work and 16.5% per total 19.4% of road, Toll Plaza work and general requirement work).

Bored piling: 100% completed.

Substructure: 2 abutments and 25 piers are required for Lang Co Bridge. 25 piers and 2 abutments completed and completion percentage was 100%.

Superstructure: Launching of span 26 to span 05 (total 21 spans) were completed. Concrete of diaphragm of span 10 to 26 were completed, other spans in launching spans were under construction. Concrete cast for Deck slab of spans 10 to 26 was completed but not whole for span 20.

Approach Road: Embankment, Granular backfill behind the abutment, mortar rip-rap for embankment and all sub-grade layers were finished. Layers of aggregate base, connection and parking lot, protection around abutment A1 were under construction.

Toll plaza: Toll Plaza building were completed. Work for completion was carried out
Girder Production: total 130 nos. of PCI girders were required to produce. 1 place of girder production yard were under operation only. Total 130 nos. of PCI girders were completed the production. Completion percentage of girder production was 100%.

Construction Supervision from the Engineer

Bored piling: 

All bored piling machines were demobilized as the piling work was completed.

North Abutment: 6 of 6 nos. of bored piles completed.

Pier No.1: 4 of 4 nos. of bored piles completed.

Pier No.2: 4 of 4 nos. of bored piles completed.

Pier No.3: 5 of 5 nos. of bored piles completed.

Pier No.4: 4 of 4 nos. of bored piles completed.

Pier No.5: 4 of 4 nos. of bored piles completed.

Pier No.6: 5 of 5 nos. of bored piles completed.

Pier No.7: 8 of 8 nos. of bored piles completed.

Pier No.8: 8 of 8 nos. of bored piles completed.

Pier No.9: 10 of 10 nos. of bored piles completed.

Pier No.10: 9 of 9 nos. of bored piles completed.

Pier No.11: 9 of 9 nos. of bored piles completed.

Pier No.12: 12 of 12 nos. of bored piles completed.

Pier No.13: 9 of 9 nos. of bored piles completed.

Pier No.15: 12 of 12 nos. of bored piles completed. However, two piles No4 and No7 had trouble during cast that pile cap plan changed and widen.

Pier No.16: 10 of 10 nos. of bored piles completed.

Pier No.17: 10 of 10 nos. of bored piles completed. Additional pile No.7' was constructed because Pile No.7 was rejected due to the result of working record and sonic test.

Pier No.18: 12 of 12 nos. of bored piles completed.

Pier No.19: 10 of 10 nos. of bored piles completed.

Pier No.20: 10 of 10 nos. of bored piles completed.

Pier No.21: 12 of 12 nos. of bored piles completed.

Pier No.22: 9 of 9 nos. of bored piles completed.

Pier No.23: 9 of 9 nos. of bored piles completed.

Pier No.24: 5 of 6 nos. of bored piles completed. 1 no. of pile met boulder at - 2m from footing bottom and could not drilling threw this boulder. This location has been back filled by concrete.

Pier No.25: 5 of 5 nos. of bored piles completed.

South Abutment: 6 of 6 nos. of bored piles completed.

Substructure: 

Abutment A1: Concrete work completed.

Pier No.1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24: Concrete work completed up to cross head

South Abutment: Concrete work was completed. Concrete for parapet on abutment was under construction.

Superstructure: 

Launching work for spans from 26 to span 05 (total 21 spans) was completed. Concrete of diaphragm of spans 26 to 10 were completed, other spans in lauching spans were undre construction now. Concrete cast for deck slab of those spans was completed except span 20.

Approach Road: 

Embankment, Granular backfill behind abutment, Mortar rip-rap for embankment and all sub-grade layers were completed. Layers of Aggregate Base, Connection and Parking Lot, Protection around Abutment A1 were under construction now.

Toll plaza: 

Toll Plaza building was completed. Work for completion was carried out.

Girder Production: 

Total 130 nos. of PCI girders need to produce. 1 place of girder production yard was under operation only. The yard next to abutment A2 was not used. Total of 130 nos. of PCI girders were completed the production. Completion percentage of girder production was 100%.

Mobilization of floating system

2 nos. of float with capacity 200 tons completed the erection at site and they were used for taking out sheet piles after construction of Piers in river and for launching.
